As I was trying to re-install vCSA in my lab VMware environment, I encountered issues. All my VMs, including DNS and AD, run on VMware Workstation. I have a VMware cluster running on three different physical servers. I attempted to install vCSA (vCenter) from the host where my VMware Workstation is running, but that’s when I encountered the issue. I couldn’t get past this error: “Deploy vCenter Server Failed to send file [VMware%20vCenter%20Server-0.vmdk] to the host. Please check the network connection.”

The issue was resolved by running the vCenter installation from within a VM that is running on VMware Workstation. It seems like a DNS or name resolution issue, even though I was able to ping the FQDN from the host itself.
